Ceri Hannan

That’s Ceri’s philosophy in fitness and he’s used that same approach to help health clubs and boutique gyms all around the world go from good to amazing. During his 34-year career in the health & fitness industry, he’s learnt how to identify the difference between a fad and a trend and developed a knack for turning each of them into profitable fitness properties that members love to train and trainers love to teach.

A former British Aerobic Champion, Ceri represented the United Kingdom at world and European level. Since leaving the world of competitive sport, he’s channelled that passion for fitness into a career that has taken him around the world, presenting and collaborating with brands big and small. Ceri’s unique blend of diverse experience, enthusiasm and finger-on-the-pulse knowledge of the latest trends gives him the edge when it comes to developing fitness products and strategies.

Lydia Hannan

Over a career spanning more than 20 years, Lydia has built a close rapport with the groups she teaches. Her experience spans a diverse range of specialisations, but whatever class she’s teaching, she has the ability to create a community spirit that keeps clients engaged and coming back again and again – some for more than ten years!

Despite her genuine caring attitude, Lydia is a no-nonsense instructor. She’s gained a reputation for delivering results in both the group and personal training environments and has personally helped hundreds of clients achieve their body transformation goals.

Olivia Ntsuba

Olivia is a trained and professional dancer and has been dancing for over 20 years. She started her dance career is Sports Aerobics and has been focused on strength and conditioning ever since. Today she is a Barre instructor for two different platforms and is still an active dancer in the dance industry. She is currently doing her stunt training, and setting herself up to learn different fighting techniques to make her a better stunt performer and fitness instructor.Her classes are a combination of aerobics, pilates, yoga, ballet barre, boxing and strength training.

As a qualified personal trainer and sports nutritionist, I have been working mainly at the Switch Playground where I train group classes while my personal clients feel the wrath of a killer personal program specialized for them. I specialize in boxing. Starting from the ripe old age of 16, I have been able to hone this skill and have been able to use it to train clients in self defense as well as for fitness. I hope one day the fitness industry will be a safe space for people to feel confident in their bodies and I hope to help people reach their own personal goals.

Olètha Angelique Abrahams Hartney

My name is Olètha Angelique Abrahams Hartney. I was born and raised in the picturesque City of Cape Town in South Africa. I am Internationally Qualified in Fitness with a Higher certificate in fitness from the Exercise Teachers Academy In Cape Town. I am also a licensed Zumba instructor as well as a Licensed Strong Nation Instructor which includes Zumba Kids & Zumba Kids Jr.
Why fitness? I have chosen Fitness because this is what makes me happy. This is also what fulfils me and the happiness it gives me I would like to extend it to other Individuals and everyone around me. Group exercise is really dear to my heart because this is where I can enjoy fitness but at the same time everyones’ passion for fitness ignites everyone around me and this brings fulfillment to me because transformation is taking place within them and myself. The energy from everyone around me motivates me to do better in my exercising but most of all we’re all in it together. The reason why I love group exercise is because I love the interaction between everyone and that we can all motivate one another at the same time and work together. We are all striving for the same in a class and the energy from every member is amazing.

Kayla Harke

Hi! My name is Kayla, and I believe that your health is key to a happy life.
I’ve found with my fitness journey that it’s as important to find what makes you and your body happy.
This includes moving to the music, HIIT, and sometimes a little less impact, like water aerobics.
Stretching and mobility are also super important to me as this aids in gaining better range of motivation, flexibility, and strength.

Siyabonga Molefe

My name is Siyabonga Molefe. I’m a 22 year old male who strives for success. I’m a former swimmer and a rugby player. I finished matric in 2016 then enrolled to sport Academy to study personal training. I finished my personal training diploma in 2018, then started practicing my career through virgin active and started attending fitness modelling competitions. In my personal training business I specialise in helping people to lose weight, gain lean muscle mass and maintaining. I teach people about the the their body type and I draft a meal plan that is best for their body type and that helps them to elevate to their body goal

Steffania Du Toit Hannan

Stefania du Toit, is a professional dancer, actor and singer. She graduated in 2011 with a Distinction from The Cape Academy of Performing Arts where she received her Diploma in Performing Arts and other related studies.
Having completed a Pilates course as well, Stefania also has a passion for teaching dance and fitness. She currently teaches group classes in Barre, HIIT, Resistance/ Strength training and Dance Fitness. She guarantees lots of energy, a great burn and most of all, fun in all her classes while improving your mood, strength and flexibility.Stefania du Toit, is a professional dancer, actor and singer. Tyla Dee Nurden

Tyla Dee Nurden is a qualified Personal Trainer and group instructor, specialized in fitness modules Methodology X and BalletRIP. She’s also a professional perfomer having in depth knowledge and understanding of the body and its anatomy as well as the importance of mobility to achieve optimum results and protection from injury. Tyla’s aim is to help people get moving, fitter, healthier, stronger and to FEEL MORE ALIVE.

Mandy Hewlett

Mandy is our Intermediate and Advanced Yoga Teacher. Mandy offers Advanced workshop courses helping yoga practitioners build up progressively to more advanced poses.
My Yoga journey has been one of the most enriching and rewarding experiences in my life and is simultaneously my biggest passion and my biggest challenge.
I remain passionate about keeping fit and I have a special interest in combining different forms of exercise to achieve the optimum level of strength and fitness, but I have come to believe that pushing yourself too hard is not always wise.
I have been practising Yoga regularly for more than fifteen years and I would like to continue to do so for the rest of my life.

Calmin Valentino

Hi my name is Calmin Valentino, a yoga instructor with a passion for running. I have completed 3 comrades marathons and countless other smaller distance marathons/ half marathons. I have a passion for fitness as this is what I fill my life with, when I’m not teaching you can find me running, boxing, hiking or gymming.

Yoga is the centre of all who I am, the physical practice works my body and the mental side of it lets me detach and unwind. I qualified with yoga under Jim Harrington’s 300hr teacher training then went on to complete Unraveled yoga’s advance creative sequence course.

Claire Weight

Claire is our lead Hatha Yoga teacher on our adult yoga teacher training courses as well as having her own kids yoga teaching company. www.yogalini.org.za
Claire is passionate about Hatha yoga, believing that yoga should be accessible to all bodies. Claire was born with scoliosis that became progressively worse with sports. Desperate to move Claire tried everything, but nothing helped. Claire went to Alison West of Yoga Union in New York to learn Yoga for Back problems and everything changed. Claire is passionate about helping people, who may not be able to access modern vinyasa yoga physically, experience moving Yoga. Claire runs our Hatha Yoga section including Hatha Yoga for all, Back care Yoga, Pregnancy Yoga, Yoga when Injured and Kids Yoga
Claire is also a qualified Kids Yoga instructor, trained in “Kidding Around Yoga tm”. Kidding Around Yoga is a style of Yoga from the USA that encompasses the 5 branches of yoga in a clear engaging method. A typical KAY class gets the children singing, dancing, skipping, marching, jogging, laughing, hopping, limbo-ing, and storytelling all while practising Yoga to the original KAY music.
I also have my Yoga4Kids module 1 and 2 qualification which is endorsed by the Yoga Teachers Fellowship of South Africa. Combining both styles of teaching techniques gives me the tools to make my classes fun with maximum benefits to the kids.

Carla Collins

Carla is an experienced yoga teacher who has been a student of yoga for nearly 20 years and has been teaching yoga since 2012. She teaches Vinyasa and has a special interest in yin, restorative and trauma focused yoga.
